AWS Cloud Delivery Manager, TAKE SOLUTIONS: cloud supply chain collaboration product (Web & B2B).

Responsibile for production environments: strategy, budget, SLAs.  Rearchitected and automated all services - greatly improving availability, security, visibility, auditability. Implemented comprehensive standards and processes that enabled end-to-end automation, while improving the ease of learning and understanding.

Operations:

·  Simplified / right-sized multiple production environments - reducing costs by over 50% in 18 months.

·  Defined / implemented comprehensive standards for process and naming - enabling end-to-end automation.

·  Created reusable assets to automate build/maintenance of environments (PowerShell, CloudFormation, CLI).

Project and Product Management Consulting

Provided ecosystem-wide Project, Process, and Product Management Office (PMO) consulting:

·     Developed comprehensive Performance Management practice for a highly regarded boutique company. Created unique methods and integrated technologies for defining / managing projects, programs, and global project portfolios - scaling from a group up to an entire market ecosystem. Specific roadmaps are delivered by assessing maturity levels and gaps, diagnosing issues, then scoring/prioritizing actions.

·     Established Agile Scrum Project and Product Management for startup SaaS healthcare company focused on integrated, actionable intelligence to manage Clinical Performance, Care, Case, Staffing, and Risk, producing reliable delivery of working software functionality across a distributed workforce.

·     Quickly modeled enterprise business architecture of TXU, the 9th largest US energy service company, which enabled government-mandated deregulation and an open eCommerce market between the 3 new business units and retail partners. Met strict timelines using best practices and data standards.

·     Strengthened the capabilities of a large a financial services company with over 240,000 clients through Business Process Innovation (BPI) workshops and roadmap planning while building a custom / comprehensive BPI methodology and Project Management Office to drive continuous improvement, elevating quality and client satisfaction.

 

Hoover’s Inc., A Dun And Bradstreet Company, Austin, TX   2009

Leader, Product and Development

Led innovation and growth of Hoover's industry-leading product suite that delivers unique insight from the world’s largest marketable database of 85+ million companies, 100+ million people, and 900 industries. Created integrated, market-specific plans for a suite of 16 customer-facing products, including budgets, resource plans, and development requirements. In under 4 months, delivered a vastly improved, highly stable beta product platform for Hoover’s entire product suite that provided all priority functionality - supported by 12 internal systems.

·        Joined with an executive mandate to launch a totally new product platform within 6 months. Started without a definition of scope, requirements, launch plan, or customer migration strategy. Quickly formed a cross-functional team to create an optimized agile / scrum plan that kept 100+ engineers at full capacity - meeting very aggressive budget and product launch directives. In under 4 months, delivered a vastly improved, highly stable beta product to customers for testing that provided all priority functionality.

·        Drove planning and development of the new flagship product platform and all related products:

o  Web and mobile editions with much richer data and new CRM features that greatly improved analytics and actionable outcomes - to define territories, identify the most qualified leads, connect with them, and stay current with relevant industry / company / people news.

o  Web services integration platform that expanded D&B’s market to value-added partners.

o  Integration components to leading CRM / ERP products for Hoover’s platform that automates / enforces clean and up-to-date customer master list across all users.

·        Developed numerous organization and process improvements:

o  Defined end-to-end product/portfolio lifecycle governance and innovation management processes.

Product Leader

Spearheaded development of the business and product model for a rapidly growing startup with a very innovative Cloud/SaaS solution for mass collaboration, customer interaction, and social media - created with open source products. The unique platform stands alone, or adds value to a customer’s existing CRM, collaboration, or community service - integrated with Salesforce.com, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Microsoft’s SharePoint and Google’s OpenSocial.

Equifax (Appro Systems), Baton Rouge, LA   2002-2007

Leader, Product Management and Development

Pioneered a highly extensible SaaS product platform to replace multiple industry-leading enterprise Loan Origination products that delivered over $100 billion (est.) in consumer and business loans per year. The new platform was based on a CRM foundation (xRM) and is designed to support multiple product lines, editions, and customers from reusable, highly configurable services (multitenant SOA). The success propelled Equifax to acquire APPRO Systems, then create a new division and roll everything related to a software product under the new unit.  A Chairman mandate tasked me to simplify 750+ global systems that delivers data and analytics on over 400 million individuals and businesses.

·        Revamped product strategies, created business plans, secured funding, led development and market launch for the ground-breaking APPRO product suite for Consumer and Business lending.

·        Directed over 120 employees and 37 consultants.

·        Delivered on time and within budget the APPRO platform that set a new standard in both ease of learning and use, while delivering unparalleled capabilities in an on-demand, highly configurable Web and Web-service based SaaS offering.

·        Drove the APPRO product to the #1 ranking out of 750 Equifax systems rated by Accenture - establishing the working blueprint for subsequent product architectures and governance:

o  Delivered massive 10x or more reduction in complexity of loan system/processing with increased functionality through ground-breaking reusable architecture (xRM, SOA, multitenant, rules-based).

o  Revitalized the product reputation - achieving SAS 70 Type II certification (SOX), Top 2% Microsoft ISV certification, and "Technology Company of The Year" award.

o  Using the APPRO product blueprint, created a plan to rationalize 750 global systems down to best-of-class services, consolidate vendors, and implement standards-based service governance.
